Job Duties
FAA CERTIFIED AIRFRAME & POWERPLANT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS for all shifts to work aircraft, components or related parts of aircraft outlined in accordance with Grand Canyon Airlines policies and procedures (Continuous Aircraft Maintenance Program (CAMP) and Approved Aircraft Inspection Program (AAIP)), manufacturer’s manuals and FAA requirements. Training will be provided. · Scheduled inspections and maintenance actions. · Unscheduled maintenance actions.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Requirements and Experience
A&P Certificate • Possess a valid driver's license • Effective communication skills; both verbal and written
Other
Must be able to lift 20 lbs and often lifting above head. Must be able to fit into tight places. Must have sufficient physical dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and motions including bending at the waist and knees, kneeling, crawling, twisting, climbing ladders, aircraft and support stands, and sustaining position for extended amounts of time. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (e.g., high visibility clothing, hearing protection, safety glasses) when required. Professional that is able to work as a member of a team or individually. Must have the ability to be trained to use calibrated hand and specialized tools. Must be able to read, understand and speak English (required for FAA A&P Mechanics and in order to properly use aircraft manuals). Possess quality decision-making capability and mental alertness to ensure safety. Must pass pre-employment background check and pre-employment drug screen. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays. (Mechanic positions are fixed with a 4-day work week, 10 HR shifts).
